(EDIT: The sale we announced for 12/21/22 and 12/22/22 had to be canceled because of a mechanical breakdown we couldn’t solve in the timeframe we had.)
We’re popping out of internet hibernation to talk about CIDER.
We got our raw cider license last month! We bought this old OESCO rack-and-cloth cider press about twelve years ago, when our orchard was just baby trees packed into our nursery. We finally had the conditions (volume of apples, infrastructure, time) to set it up this year and got inspected, and we passed! Yessssss.
If you like CIDER – raw, organic, bulk, bring-your-own-vessel cider – mark your calendar for December 21 and 22, 2022 We’ll be pressing cider on the 21st and hosting a little solstice cider distribution those 2 evenings, 4-6pm. We’ll have some gallon plastic jugs and 1/2 gallon Ball jars for sale or deposit, but bring your 5 gallon buckets, your clean empty milk jugs, whatever you’ve got! You can grab a few quarts for a holiday treat or stock up multiple gallons for the freezer, fermentation projects, etc…your vessel capacity (and our cider press’s capacity) is the limit. In addition to cider, we’ll have bulk apples, carrots, leeks, rutabaga, beets, cabbage, winter squash, and possibly a few dozen eggs. Here’s a little price list for anyone living within striking distance:
Bulk discounts for 25lb+ on most veggies
Be well nourished, my dear eaters!

Yes sending email announcements to an email list is very useful to us. Itβs too easy to miss posts on Instagram.
good news
Glad I got this email notification. It’s not that I’m close enough to come visit, I just am amazed by how well you’ve done. I’ll look for you on FB so I can continue to revel in your success.
Yes I only do email and appreciate your notice. Thanks and in the future we hope to be able to participate in making cider if you will be squeezing customers apples. We have a small orchard.
Leaving a comment here to say that these posts are useful and provide access for me as I do not use other forms of media. Thanks for the consideration. π
