It's been an exciting week on the farm!  The North Branch Beekeepers bought a baby colony of bees (called a nuc, or nuke, not sure how to spell it) a couple weeks ago and then transferred it to a new hive body.  They seem to be doing pretty well despite some rainy...

It's finally summer!  Four pigs (only two of whom are already spoken for--it's not too late!) and one beef cow left for the butcher yesterday.  Swimming has become a multi-weekly event.  Best of all, the newly-ripening blueberries and gooseberries are being devoured...

    I told Elsie I wasn't sure what to put on the blog today and she said, "Lots and lots of rain," which is true...and although I've already written a couple times this summer about the precipitation, it's still true: we're getting Lots and Lots of rain....
